 EDUCATION FAIR
Education Fair which was attended by students, faculty and staff at Satya Wacana Christian University, the high school / vocational school and the general public to obtain information on scholarships, further study and faculty held SWCU, on Monday and Tuesday, exactly on December 26 -27 March 2012 at the Balairung Satya Wacana Christian University.  For 2 days, a variety of activities held in the event that the theme of Facing the Challenge in this Plurality. In addition to presentations and exhibitions from lending institutions and faculty scholarship at SWCU, there is also sharing a lecturer SWCU continued his studies abroad as well as the sharing culture of the students from Korea and Japan to follow the student exchange student at the institution. Any 20 stands filled the exhibition circuit Education Fair. Stand is made up of the organization of the IDP scholarship; Australian Education International (AEI) and Prasetiya Mulya School stand SWCU faculties and support units in SWCU stand as Promotion and International Relations, Student Affairs and Language Training Center (LTC).
1.    Presentation by Scholarships Provider Organization
a.       Prasetiya Mulya is the first business school in Indonesia which offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA). As a business school founded by leading business character in Indonesia, Prasetiya Mulya offers leading programs that emphasize learning and application of business concepts in the real world. Since its inception, Prasetiya Mulya has a leading reputation in the MBA program of the relevant conduct business in Indonesia and the world at the international level. Prasetiya Mulya aims to provide business education and quality management with respect to the conditions and situation of Indonesia. After a number of Ministry of Education and Culture in 1993, the name and degree program for MBA graduates to be changed from Master Management (MM).
b.      Australian Education International (AEI) is a division of the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Higher Education (DIISRTE), Australia. In Indonesia, as part of the Embassy of Australia, AEI seeks to increase cooperation in the field of strategic policies, regulations and legislation and intergovernmental relations in the international education sector. AEI facilitate research collaboration between institutions to support high-level relationship between academics and institutions. AEI is represented by an Education Counselors based at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
c.       IDP Education
Education is the world’s largest student placement provider. It has a network of over 80 international student placement center located in more than 25 countries worldwide, including India, China, South-East Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, IDP is co-owned by 38 Australian universities and Seek Ltd, Australia’s leading online employment and training company. For 40 years, IDP Education has played a major role in international education. During this time, IDP has placed more than 300,000 international students – primarily into leading education institutions. Each year, around 25,000 commencing students choose IDP to help them transform their dreams of international study into reality. Whether it is counseling support to make the right choice of international education destination, providing accurate information, smoothing out the application process or managing visa applications, international students really are better placed with IDP. IDP – a founding partner in the IELTS English language test. IDP Education collaborated with the British Council and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations in the late 1980s in the development of a fair and reliable international test of English language proficiency for international education and migration. As a result, in 2010 around 1.5 million people sat an IELTS test in 133 countries.
2.      Presentation of the Faculty.
Faculty presentations held to promote to high school / vocational school and the general public about the profile of each faculty. Presentation about the activities presented contains lectures, job opportunities in the future. Which attracted the attention of the guests were all carried out by FIK presentation, they presented a demonstration of natural disaster. Thus making the main attraction for visitors.
3. Lecture Sharing
Overall, lecture who implemented local sharing about their experiences studying abroad. The lecturer also provides an overview of how they got the scholarship and provide input on the appropriate institutions to provide scholarships for further studies abroad. They also give tips on how to take care of the terms or documents are required to study abroad. Then they also give you tips, things what they should do when it's overseas schools. At its core is a rewarding experience to study abroad.
4. Culture Sharing
  Culture is held two times sharing, on the first day we get a culture of sharing student from Korea. The first student presentation about the Korean culture is a traditional dress called a Hanbok. Then also mentions about the various fashion marriage in Korea. The second student presentation about the Korean traditional foods such as Kimbab, Samgyetang, Jeotgal. The third student, presented on the Korean art of music and performing arts. Korean music is being booming because of a boy band and girl band that we call the K-POP. Regardless of the culture of Korean people, especially men who are over the age of 20-30 years, will be subject to compulsory military service during 2tahun. If they do not come from military service and then will go to jail after getting out of prison they have to follow the draft. And second day, we get a culture of sharing Kunika and Ryota, both students Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) Japanese student exchange program in SWCU comes to fill the event sharing culture. They cooked grilled squid (IKAYAKI). Within about 15 minutes, Ryota and Kunika make Ikayaki Education Fair and ask visitors to try their food. Kunika is fluent in Indonesian, so visitors can easily understand what is delivered.
